Return of Jay
After a spell of being in-active we finally see the return of Jay after his PC had broken for a good few months. This return brings about the fighting return of the whole Venene Community, which can hopefully now return to normal upon his return.
The main reason for Jay's unfortunate inactiveness came about due to his PC gradually dying. There had been problems with the PC a long time before this point but it finally kicked in and he was unable to manage the organisation properly.
Fortunately upon his return we see the loyalty of former teams as they begin to stream back in to Venene to bring it back to its former glory. We hope to carry on the improvement of the organisation.
We hope in a few day's time to be announcing a new sponsor, whom will be able to cover most areas of the organisation. So keep your eyes peeled for any updates.

Welcoming New Management: Wouter " rcKlzz " Verboven
Today we expand our management crew just that little extra, with the organization only moving forward these days, it was essential to acquire a new Public Relations manager which could work indirectly aside our prestige Public Relations manager Björn "
pzynix " Hilgen. Wouter "
rcKlzz " Verboven will be working on the technical side of things, grouping the communities towards our website and our IRC channel, leaving Björn the scene community side of life. This will be a great partnership tackling both sides of relations of the organization.
Statement from Wouter:
We are happy to welcome Wouter to our organization management crew, and we know that with him aside our already-strong crew, it can only advance onto bigger things.
Ontop of this, we are also happy that Wouter will be making an appearance at SMACKLAN with us in March at Antwerp. Björn is also contemplating the idea, making the support only bigger for the
venene. CS:S team.

I'm very pleased to say that I'm now in the management crew of venene. esports, this organization directly got my attention because of their professionalism in everything they do. From now on I will do my best to fill up the management spot in question and last but not least I want to thank jay for his patience with me. |

Web Updates: Monthly Articles
With the massive recent organization expansion weve had, I thought it would only be appropriate to introduce a brand new section on the website, the vFiles! In assocation with VENENE CINEMA. Atleast each month, there will be monthly reviews, interviews and discussions going live, if not more often! These vFiles will not be introduced by any particular member of the organization, but various members who take a key interest in the different files, example; if a user from the MW team is interested in a certain debate in an argument of hardware and posts individual reviews on them both..
Look out for the vFiles soon to January 2010. Kicking off the new year with some brand new content for you, the public, to indulge in.

The Movie Vault Returns
The most popular website for esports related movies and clips is now back, after closing down in August 2009. The former site had been the home site for enthusiasts of all games who were able to view their favourite players and teams in frag movies.
The new site is currently in its lite version and is not expected to be completed till April. It's current features are fairly basic, however the rest of the functionalities will gradually be introduced. Its good not just for the movie enthusiasts but for the gaming scene in general, a good start to 2010.
Erik Kehl had this to say:
"Welcome to the new "lite" version of The Movie Vault, make yourself at home. Before you start scratching your head wondering what's going on I think I should take a moment to show you around what's live, and give you a heads up on what is yet to come. If this is your first time back to The Vault since I closed in August, I highly recommend you read this introduction.
First things first, no this is not the "whole" website, that is why this is considered a "lite" version and not even a beta. What you are seeing is a look into the new styling and ease of use functions being applied to the new website. The core functions such as searching, browsing, playing videos and so forth is all intact and don't worry, I didn't forget to include the high definition streams. But what is missing is all the user functions most have grown to love, the question is why?
This site has been created from the ground up; I scrapped the remains of what was once "SourceRadio" and started new. I did this primarily because the old site was cluttered, years of code and let's face it, I learned along the way. The new site is built for the user; the new interface will allow easy navigation, attractive styling and a ton of new features. So many new features in fact, that I can't release the full site quite yet."

Multiplay Prize Fund Announced
Yesterday saw the announcement of the i39 Prize Tournaments. With many eager ears listening in for the much anticipated prize fund, especially for the Counter Strike Source Tournament. Multiplay has often been criticised about its prize funds due to the amount of sign-ups and the cost to attend the event. However this year we finally see a dramatic increase in prizes.
CS:Source (PC)
£2500 Guaranteed, or if 96 teams or more signup, an increase to £5000.
Call of Duty 4 (PC)
£2500 Guaranteed, or if 96 teams or more signup, an increase to £5000.
Heroes of Newerth (PC)
£1000 Guaranteed, or if 48 teams sign up, an increase to £2500, or if 96 or more sign up, an increase to £5000.
Team Fortress 2 (PC)
£1500 Guaranteed, or if 48 teams sign up, an increase to £2500, or if 96 or more sign up, an increase to £5000.
Halo 3: ODST (Xbox360)
£1500 Guaranteed, or if 48 teams sign up, an increase to £2500, or if 96 or more sign up, an increase to £5000.
As you can see a massive amount of money to be won, especially considering the current climate the UK see's itself in. What will be of interest is whether or not the event will be able to spark enough interest to grasp the 96 teams for each event to get the big prize money. Normally the CS:Source event easily manages 120 team signup in the spring event, so we can expect to see a healthy portion of teams competing for the big money prize.
The spring i-series will once again be hosted at Newbury, whilst i40 is expected to return to Stoneleigh for the larger venue. For more information you can visit the multiplay website.
